Sad day............

Today started with the sad realisation that Sapho had not eaten her grain. So I went to look for her and found her down in the field. She had worked herself into a hole and could not get up. This was the third time that she did this. This time however she did not recover. So no more Sapho to feed in the morning or look at while driving by. She will be missed by all of us.

I'm so sorry. I'm sure Damaris is very upset. Nicolle will cry when I tell her. It's even hard to lose a pet even though she was VERY old.
PS. Thanks for all your comments on my blogs. Appreciate them.

Our condolences....I am sad that she is gone and knowing how you will miss her. Knowing there is a hole in someone else's life is sad for me.

Love you, hang in there, and give Damaris a big hug from me.

Love, Tetcy

Man! Poor Saph, but it was probably for the best that you put her down, now she wont have to suffer anymore, arthritis can be very painful especially when there is a extra pressure in the air. I am really going to miss going into the barn and not having any animals to visit! I still miss Kalie alot! :( She was such a good dog, and I loved her lots. Anyways, on a happier note, I am very proud of you guys for getting nearly all the digging done before moms birthday! I cant remember the last time that happened! "My ek vol in de kronte" or however you spell that! Love you lots! Dianna

I was wondering the other day how Sapho was doing. She lived quite a long life. At least you won't have to worry about her falling again or being in pain because of the arthritis. How's Maris doing?

I'm so sorry to hear about Sapho. I know Damaris was so very close to her. I hope she's doing okay. I know you will all miss her dearly.
