Caleb's new passion.....

Hi to all of you that are still checking once in a while.

It is appreciated.
As you can see, Caleb found a new hobby. When we were in Halifax recently, he found this kit where you had to go dig for gems in a block of plaster. The package came with some tools, including a pair of goggles, a little hammer and a chissel(wood).

He started with it as soon as we came home. After he found all his gems, he had to match them up with a sheet of pictures. So he learned quite a bit from it.
He even look up more info about rocks in the worldbook.

As you can see, he became quite the expert on anything to do with rocks around here.

Of course, the waterslide was a lot of fun too. We also enjoyed our visit to the Natural History Museum. There was a lot to learn about animals, plants and rocks.
Fun was had by all, and then it was back to work.

Spring is in the air.....

It is starting to warm up again. The days are getting longer and the time is changing tonight. A sure sign of spring. Amanda had a busy week in daycare. On Friday we had 16 people around the table. A lot of little mouths to feed. Lots of fun.

We also celebrated Pete's birthday a while ago. And this weekend he is having some friends over for a LAN party. For those of you that are not in the know about such events, it goes like this:
You invite your friends, tell them to come over and bring their computers. Then you hook them all up together. This makes a Local Area Network. Then you play games until you get very tired.

As you can see, it fills the room up pretty quick. The daycare room is not that big, just big enough. That leaves the rest of the house is fairly quiet. We had turnip stampot for supper tonight, with cheddar smokeys, was it ever good.
Just to let you know, Omke Jaap from Boksum ( Beppe's brother), is very sick. He can use all of our prayers. If you read this Klaske, can you give the family our best wishes? Thanks.
Don't forget about the time change tonight. An hour ahead.....
