Hello to all. Pete and I made it home again safely. It was nice to be away for a while, but it is also good to be home again. Below are some pictures that we took in the last few days.
You can tell that the roof is coming along good. And we are almost done. The gable ends get a heavy coat of cement added to keep the roof down in a hurrican.
Here you can see the crew after the job was finished. We got done what we set out to do. There is some finish work left to do. But that will be contracted out for the most part.
It was a great experience for all of us, and we have a special bond together now. We thank God for enabling us to do this project, and for keeping us all safe during this trip.
Thank you all for following us on our mission project. And if you have mist some details, you can still find those on our D.R. blog at : www.charlotteteam.blogspot.com

Caleb's Birthday!
Matt and I (Amanda) hung up the slingers the night before for Caleb's birthday and I will admit that it felt really wierd doing Dad's job. They got up in one peice though and it reminded me how special it is that Dad always does that for us and never forgets. They are still up actually, Dad's not here to take them down either... oops sorry Dad. Caleb had a great day. Matt found him a cake with a Lightening McQueen wind up car on top. He thought that was really cool. Everyone was here for coffee and they thought that Dad's blogs were cool. Other than that things are normal here and Things are going really smoothly. We even got the compost by the road in time. We love you Dad! Love Always You're PEI crew! Pete hope you're doing well... Rebecca is doing ok, but I think she is lost without you here! Have Fun!

Progress
As you can see, we came to work, and that is what we are doing. We had another good day today. Made some more progress at the house. Actually made it into town to a place where you can phone . You just pay after you are done. Worked good.
We can feel all the prayers, I don't know how to explane it. Everything is going really well. May God's will continue to be done.
I hope all you guys are well at home, we miss you a lot. Specially today on Caleb's birthday. I was glad to be able to talk to him for a minute. Glad to hear everything is well at home as well.
Until next time, Randall and Pete.

We made it to the D.R.
Just a few words from us here at the Dominican. We arrived and are doing great. The whole team is healthy and we are very thankfull for that.On the left is a picture of the country. We are not to close to them, but we can see them from where we are working. I'm not sure where that is on the map though.
The other picture shows the airport as we saw it when we landed.
We will try to update again, but there is not much time left over after our day is done. Just to let you all know. You can follow our progress on our D.R. blog.

Staying with Mike and Klarina
Here we are at Mike and Klarina's house in Dover, Mass.
The road conditions were not very good coming through New Brunswick. It started snowing as we crossed the Confederation Bridge. Getting heavier until after Moncton it changed to ice pellets and rain. After we crossed into the U.S.A.there was less and less snow. After we hit Bangor, there was no more snow on the ground. We arrived at Mike and Klarina's at about 9 o'clock local time, or about 10 o'clock PEI time. So it took about twelve hours to get there.
This is Mike and Klarina's house. They gave us a wonderfull tour through Boston today. But our day stated with a hike in their 800 acre backyard. They took us to a cliff with a beautifull view of the surrounding area.
Old meets new in this picture. In the background we have the John Hancock Tower.A big glass paneled office tower. In the foreground is Trinity Church.Mike's sister actually got married here. We had a look inside, and it was really beautifull. There are 16 stained glass windows in the back wall.
On the left is a picture of the Boston skyline. It makes to old part of Boston. After we got back from our tour trough old Boston, we went for a ride in Mike's M3. Breathtaking! That adrenaline rush over with, we went mountain biking up to a fire tower. Troughout the summer it is manned to watch for forest fires. We watched the sun set from here. Then it was back to home for a relaxing dip in the hot tub, outside. That was nice and refreshing.
End of day two.
