Here are a few pictures of our world as we see it right now. We are running on the generator. Hopefully it will keep going. The wind is supposed to pick up as the day goes by. Up to 90 clicks tonight. The schools have been closed for two days now
There are lots of people without power. Between Kensington and Hunter River, there are about 70 poles down. The Western end of the Island has been hit the hardest.
I will add some more pictures when I can. Maritime Electric said this afternoon, that it could be Friday before power is restored. This is the weeping willow in front of the house. And this is what the clayroad looks like. This next one shows how much ice is actually on the trees. It is scary to walk in the woods now. The temperature is coming up a bit and the ice is starting to fall of somewhat.
This is the pine tree by the house. It does look pretty like that.
Anyway, more about the storm later.

WOW! Sounds like a big storm. It was supposed to hit here too but I think it just right around us. Hearing the damages it left everywhere I'm glad it decided not to visit! Nice Chatting with you tonight and I hope you guys have fun playing games.
Love Amanda
PS! Im coming on Feb. 29 to visit YOU! love ya!
It is really pretty, but I wouldn't feel so safe if I had to walk under so much Ice. I didn't even know about the storm. All that's on the news here is politics and who's going to win which states seats... kinda boring.
I hope everyone is safe in PEI and that the poaer is restored soon. Have fun taking advantage of this though.
Much Love,
~ Mary

You're funny Dianna!!
We lost our power yesterday for about 3 hours between 2 and 6am so no inconvenience to anyone. I had to go and reset the timers on our security lights outside....that's how I found out how long our outage was. Hope yours gets restored soon. Nature sure can be destructive yet beautiful.....glad all are safe!
Love you all, Tetcy
